About

I am a performing artist with 9 years of training in dance and movement practices. My training background has been in contemporary dance, kathak, physical theatre, yoga, and somatics. I enjoy experimenting, playing, facilitating, and improvising with body movements coming from these practices and embodied experiences of the body.

My dance journey began with Sadhya Dance Company as an artist performing their in-house productions. For the last 8 years, I have consistently engaged in kathak training at Bharatiya Kala Kendra, Delhi, an institute for performing arts in classical dance and vocals. In 2020, I completed my Master's Degree in Dance (Performance Practice) from Ambedkar University.

I am also one of the members at Khuli Khirkee, a shared co-working space for professionals engaged in performing arts (previously known as Gati Dance Forum). Parallelly, I have been facilitating community classes as a way of self expression and well-being for the body.

An improvised collaborative performance that blends music and dance, examining our physical reactions to soundscapes present in both natural and urban environments. It investigates the interplay between dancers and musicians, contemplating the comfort we derive from birdsong contrasted with the discomfort of city noise.
